# Increasing and Extending veSAIL
Users who wish to maintain or increase their voting power can increase and extend the lock on their existing veSAIL position. Extending the lock resets the time-weighted voting power, rewarding continued commitment.
## How to Increase veSAIL
Navigate to the **veSAIL** Page from the navigation bar.
Select the **veSAIL lock** that you intend to manage.
In the options popup, select **Increase**.
Enter the amount of **SAIL** you wish to add to your veSAIL position.
Click **Increase Lock** to increase your locked position and voting power.
## How to Extend veSAIL Lock?
On the options popup, select **Extend/Max**
Select from **6 months, 2 years, or 4 years** to extend your veSAIL lock. The longer you commit, the more your voting power and rewards grow.
Toggle on/off for Auto-Max Lock. **By default, Auto Max-Lock is set to on.**
Click Extend Lock to extend your veSAIL lock.
